Diljit becomes 1st turbaned Sikh to have a wax statue at Madame Tussauds

Diljit Dosanjh unveiled his wax statue at Madame Tussauds in New Delhi on Thursday. The Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh twitted “Aukat Ghat Te Kirpa Zyada” after unveiling his wax figure at Madame Tussauds in New Delhi on Thursday.  Diljit becomes the first turbaned Sikh to have a wax statue at the prestigious museum. He was spotted in a crisp black suit at the launch event and looked handsome as always. he was wearing black turban and leather shoes of the same colour which enhanced his look. A 35-year-old retweeted by appreciating him “look how from a small village of Punjab, Dosanjh, travelled his way to Madame Tussauds”. Alongside, he shared three photos of him posing with his nearly identical wax statue. The statue portrayed his look from the song PUTT JATT DA.

Diljit started his career as a Punjabi singer, he has sung some of the most popular tracks including Proper Patola, Patiala Peg, 5 taara, Veer Vaar, and many more. He has also featured as an actor in Punjabi films such as JATT & JULIET series, DISCO SINGH, SUPER SINGH, SARDAR JI series, and many others.

 He made his debut in the Bollywood film industry in 2016 with Abhishek Chaubey’s UDTA PUNJAB. He has so far performed in Hindi film PHILLAURI, WELCOME TO NEW YORK and SOORMA.

 The launch event was earlier scheduled to take place in February. However, due to the terror attack at Pulwama by Pakistan on 14th February, owned tension to Dosanjh which results in postponing of the event
